Mexicano
STANDINGS→
1 + 4
vs
2 + 3
PLAYERS
4 to 8 per court booked, in multiples of four when you book three courts or more.
PAIRING
Round one is drawn at random. After that the standings decide: the four highest scorers take court one, the next four take court two, and inside each court it is first with fourth against second with third.
SCORING
Tennis games, a combined point target, or just the final score typed in at the end — you pick before the first round.
BEST FOR
The default for a mixed-ability night. Winners drift up to court one, so nobody spends the evening outclassed.

MAN + WOMAN
vs
MAN + WOMAN
PLAYERS
Equal numbers of men and women. The app refuses to start otherwise.
PAIRING
Same standings-driven courts as Mexicano, with one rule on top: every pair is one man and one woman, and every court is two of each.
SCORING
Same three options as Mexicano.
BEST FOR
Club nights where the point is that the teams are mixed, not that the strongest four end up together.

EVERY PAIR
PLAYERS
4 to 8 per court booked, in multiples of four when you book three courts or more.
PAIRING
A round-robin drawn up before the first ball. When the numbers work out, everyone partners everyone else exactly once — the app tells you when they do not.
SCORING
Same three options as Mexicano.
BEST FOR
Groups of roughly even standard who want to have played with everybody by the end of the night.

EVERY PAIR
PLAYERS
Equal numbers of men and women.
PAIRING
Each man partners each woman exactly once, on a rotation that is guaranteed when the count on each side is even.
SCORING
Same three options as Mexicano.
BEST FOR
The fairest way to run a mixed social night, because the schedule is fixed before anyone plays.
